Meet Go Green Villa Park

We are Go Green Villa Park, a dedicated volunteer nonprofit working to make our community healthier and more sustainable. Our mission is simple: to improve the lives of Villa Park residents by implementing greener improvements in local spaces, sharing sustainable practices, and fostering a stronger community through engaging events, education, and collaboration. Our organization is a partner & local chapter of Go Green Illinois.

We've been hard at work mapping out our future! Our monthly meetings have been focused on setting our organizational direction and developing a list of exciting potential projects and programs.

As we have adapted our focus to reflect the needs of our community and members, we're pursuing projects and programs that involve sustainable gardening/restoration, water conservation and zero waste.

For our first event, we held a Pumpkin Smash where everyone had the opportunity to divert pumpkins from ending up in the landfill and instead send them off to be composted.
